Ukrainian Dnipro Ensemble of Edmonton
The Ukrainian Dnipro Ensemble of Edmonton is a choir in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, which specialises in Ukrainian choral music.
The Dnipro Male Chorus was organized in Edmonton in 1953 by Roman Soltykevych, along with a group of devotees, whose primary concern was the fostering, promotion, and perpetuation of the finest elements of Ukrainian choral music.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://dniprochoir.com/content/about.asp )〕
The chorus expanded in 1971 to become a mixed choir.〔
In 1974, with the addition of an orchestra and dance corps, the mixed choir became an ensemble.〔
